| | ROCKLAND, MAINE- A fine and promising band has disappeared from the face of the earth. SPIRAL SUNS was on their way when, as is so frequently the case , they veered off into the black hole of Maine Band Oblivion. Perhaps they responded to the allure of vices from another dimension. Perhaps they were gobbled alive by laser-guided mutant termites.
All is not lost, however ("however" is such an amusing word to type, most of the letters being on the left side of the keyboard, but I digress); as the following sightings have been made, which will surely be of the utmost interest to even the most casual fans of the band, to say nothing of the vast seething hordes (also a fun-to-type word) of Spiral Suns fans which can be seen on any street corner, wailing and gnashing their extraordinarily lovely white teeth.
PETER DOUBT has been seen and heard playing Pat Benatar covers at some hole in Biddeford. Must have gone off his meds again.
SCOTT SIMMONS has fallen madly in love with Phish again, and is possibly within a year of completing his custom-built, twin-humbucker, carved-curly-maple top electric guitar which, fates willing, he will be able to remember how to play. |
